Connected to my Harmon Kardon 3490 Amp and Defenitive Technology SM65 speakers. These are solid, well made and a bargain over some of the "other brands" priced in the hundreds of dollars. I hoenstly believe some of the cables in the thousands of dollar range and so much snake oil and I refuse to spen more on cables than my amplifier costs. If I waas a millionaire I would go for the high end everything but I work hard for the money I make as I believe most of us who shop here do. They have a thick rubber professional feel and look. They lay flat whever you place them and sound is better than using cheaap wires. Bananana plugs are standard size and a good snug fit from my amp to the speakers. They are a bit heavy when hanging out the back of my speakers which I have on 32 inch stands so I am still looking on how to stress relief these nice cables. It's not a huge worry as I have had them connected for a couple of weeks now and they simply rock, hence my 5 start rating. You can't go wrong at the price.

I'll start with the "negatives", if you could consider them as such. The cable is bulky and heavy. The thick rubber shielding makes coiling and running these a bit cumbersome at times. The weight can also be a problem if you don't have sufficient support for them. Don't dangle them off the end of a speaker 6 feet up without some support. I also wish they had a longer version. 25' isn't enough for rear surround units sometimes, and those are the speakers that need the best shielded cables.

Now for the good stuff: these cables are extremely well shielded, and I've had no problems with them breaking, bending or any similar thing. When they came I was surprised how well constructed they were for the price. I've seen cables costing ten times this that didn't look as good. They fit well in my main receiver, and whilst the banana plugs don't fit 100% snuggly into a speaker, if you pull the lip of the cable back a little, and screw down the post, in combination with suitable cable support, which you should be doing anyway, they hang tight with no problems. I have a large amount of electronic equipment, and I've had zero problems with interference. They will have a tendency to increase the depth of your receiver configuration as the study plugs poke a good ways out of the rear of the receiver. With my receiver, 24" of depth to accommodate the configuration is a good idea. If you have tight spaces, these aren't going to work for you.

Also, many smaller speakers simply don't have banana plug connectors, check your speakers before you buy the cables, as you might be surprised, I know I was!!

okay quality for the price, not as good as expected.

I use this cable to carry power from my benchtop powery supply to my various circuits, and it does a good job of that. You really can't get power-carrying banana cables in any other affordable way, and most "lab patch cables" are both overpriced, shoddy, and not of sufficient gauge for higher-amp loads (I run 10A through this cable, and it should do up to 20A just fine.)

I'm sure it would do a good job of carrying power from an amplifier to a speaker, too -- it's good quality 12 gauge wire with solidly attached connectors and no more capacitance or inductance or resistance than any other cable of this gauge and connector configuration. And if you can't measure a difference, you by definition can't hear a difference!

I wish the connectors were stackable, though; as it is, I have to use stackable adaptors to break the power out into multiple taps. Also, the cable is a little stiff; most likely because of the unnecessarily thick insulation, that I'm sure covers it for marketing purposes. It probably adds some durability as well, so for fifteen bucks, you really can't go wrong with this guy.

The banana plugs are useless, since they do not stay in the binding posts. In other words, THEY FALL OUT!! They seem to be of very soft metal and after a while they bent to a shape that does not stay in. I had to remove them and replace with real banana plugs.

The connectors will easily slide out of equipment if jostled, and one of them comes out a little bit even when left alone, although doesn't seem to affect sound quality. Problem is these are not true banana plugs that bulge in the middle, as can be seen in the pic. Instead it consists of four separate pieces that spread out to get wider toward the tip. I tried spreading apart a little more hoping for tighter fit, and while it seemed to help at first it didn't last for long. Is alright for a budget but look elsewhere if value peace of mind.

I'm very impressed with these cables, they are very well made. I was mostly worried with making my own cables because I never felt like the banana made a good connection with the copper cables (24k Gold Connector Banana Plugs, Open Screw Type 24 Pack (12 Red, 12 Black)). Usually if you make your own and you tug very hard, the cable will lose its grip on the banana plug and come undone (most of the videos I've seen want you to fan out the copper cable across the contacts of the banana plug, but if you tug hard here it will come undone). So after doing quite a bit of research for cable gauge and plugs I ended up buying these cables. The price worked out to being only a few dollars more and I must say, the shielding on these cables has a nice feel, a nice dark blue (almost black in the dark) color and feel very substantial.

If you're worried about making your own banana plugs these are well worth the cost.
